Hello all
Springfield CC are very proud to
announce a new venture for charity fund raising in partnership with Farleigh
Hospice. A local charity that our club and members have close to our hearts for
many reasons so its fitting that our first real venture into charity tie ups is
with them.
What we will see in the coming
months:
-
Farleigh
Hospice branding around the club, including Senior T20 shirt sponsors, Colts
shirt sleeve sponsors, Banners and flags around the clubhouse including a
section of the notice board dedicated to Farleigh to promote all related events
-
Various
fund raising events through the season and on into the winter - booked so far
-
Sunday July 8th. Farleigh Hospice
Charity Cricket Day - 8
teams of 8-a-side including guest teams We would like to see a massive number
of current and past players included. (please let Paul Jimmy or Clarky know if
you can play)
-
Friday May 25th – Pop Bingo (music quiz with a difference)
-
December 15th - Gin
Tasting Event
-
Expanded kids events on and
around Presidents Day
-
Many more through the year – watch
this space
-
Permanent
charity bottles and buckets around the clubhouse for all that pesky loose
change in your pockets
-
SCC to
support Farleigh events through the year – Sponsored Cycles, runs etc.
Christmas Tree collections and much more
-
We will also be putting out a press release to announce our partnership with Farleigh in due course to all local media outlets
There will be many more events through the year but if you have ideas for fund raising events or ideas, or want to get involved in the organisation of any of the activities please contact anyone of the 4 of us, all help is gratefully accepted. We also want to hear from our colts about what they think (apart from asking mum and dad) are good money raising ideas the club could do.
I am sure that you will all be as keen as we are to make this first year with Farleigh a great success, not just in the amount of money raised but also in raising awareness of what this brilliant, and local, organisation does.
Together we can make a difference
Thanks
Paul
