Match report The 3rd league game of the season took us to Eight Ash Green, On the first beaming hot summers day of the season I went out to do the toss with 7 blokes ready to lynch me if I lost the toss and 3 Australians who still thought it was cold as the weather hit 25 Degrees, The coin went up and yet again I produce with the correct call. We were batting again as I marched back to tell the team my great news we got ready for action, We opened the Batting with Jimmy and Harry Williams who got us off to a good start even though Jimmy was battered and bruised from the previous nights activities. Williams went for 13 this brought Harry “GB” Donegan to the crease after a quick good luck hug from his captain, He and Jimmy put Eight Ash Green to the sword in the heat they put on a standard of over 220 Jimmy bringing up a brilliant century with another 6 after Jimmy had gone for 130 off of 98 balls which included 12 4’s and 7 6’s, it was Golden boys turn to reach 3 figures by this time he had been joined at the wicket by Curtis who came down the track and gave his little buddy a cuddle very Cute!!!. Donegan then went for 103 off 110 balls which included 7 4’s and 4 6’s, after the big stand there was only a couple of over’s left but that was still enough time for Iestyn enough time to complete his Hat-trick of giving out all the Aussie’s TO BE FAIR Curtis “Treadmill” Tuohey was only 5 yards out of his crease so even Iestyn couldn’t get that decision wrong, The innings finished with us setting 304 for 4 off our 45 over’s which we knew would be enough and so it was. Tea came and went and we went out to field Eight ash Green were never really in the running good knocks of 71 and 79 from woodcock and maston were the only highlight of a slow innings and they eventually finished on 218 for 5 off of there 45 overs. Good victory for the circus as they march on.
