Hello all, I hope you and your families are well and ready for the festive break.
As usual at this time we all look back at the year and review the highs and lows and set our expectations for the New Year to come. 2025 has been challenging on and off the field especially with the First Team who through no fault of their own found themselves relegated from the Hamro first division. We have learnt and move on from it as a committee and as a club stronger, wiser and more together than before. I just want to say how fantastic the First Team did after the news hit, they stayed together and produced some fabulous cricket to give ourselves a good chance of beating the drop, sadly to miss out by just a few points. Well done lads, you have shown what a great team, from a great club, you are. Keep it up and we will be back where we belong in 2027!
Well done also to all the other senior, colts and Womens teams, onwards and upwards!
2026 promises to be a much better year for all teams with new players coming in and the return of the 5th team to league cricket. This is the life blood of the club and I look forward to bringing through the crop of youngsters ready for senior cricket. Our colts and Womens teams are go from strength to strength and I would like to thank all those that coach, manage or play for these teams as well as the fantastic support we get on the sidelines from parents and families alike.
Thank you to all players for your efforts this year and to all the people on the side lines that help out with teas which are still the best in the county!
The club will be open as usual during the Christmas and New Year period and we welcome anyone to come in and have a beer especially Christmas and New Years Eve.
