Springfield Cricket Club

Presidents week and day is this week starting on Weds and culminating on the Sunday. There is masses of cricket to be played each evening food and music and some guest beers etc. 
Here's a run down of what's going on.... 
Weds night 6pm starts... 
Classic overs vs unders t20 where the veterans take on the upstarts and as usual completely outsmart them and claim the win by any means possible. 
Top pitch T20 vs our old friends from Eastons. 
Curry for dinner. 
Thursday both 6pms 
Chelmsford T20 
Purleigh T20
Alex's gyros for dinner.
Friday both 6pm starts
ECG T20
Basildon T20
Jim curry for dinner. 
Saturday league games as usual
In the evening starting at 8pm we have a 2 piece blues band coming over. Old boy by the name of Martin McNeill. He's very good, he'll belt out some classics we all know. Please tell your family members who would enjoy a good sing song in the park. 
Finally we move onto Presidents Day Sunday 20th
In the morning the 13s have a game and our youngest Colts will be playing some pairs cricket from half 9ish 
They'll be a lunchtime BBQ from 11.30am courtesy of Vin & Widge... and Mr Whippy is turning up with his ice cream van! 
The Presidents SCC legends take on the current SCC 1s & 2s on the main pitch starting at 1pm and we are bringing back the Chapman challenge u19 game for the top pitch, also 1pm. 
Buffet for everyone will served around about 3.45pm.
After the game curry will be available. 
Fun and games will obviously then go on long into the night... 
We need everyone to contribute to the buffet Sunday which Ellie Vince is heading up. Please see inside the clubhouse, if the board is full pop down something in the extras section. All food must be pre prepared on arrival. The bar rota (1 hour shifts x 2 people) needs filling. Let Jim know if you can do an hour and he’ll pop down.
