2018 info.

21 Mar 2018

Afternoon all,

With spring very definitely in the air and the season closing in I have a few messages to add to Paul's reminder about the cider evening Saturday..(the raspberry/cranberry & lemon concoction is a thing of beauty!!)

Obviously subs are now due (and soon to be late) so if you want to take advantage of the pre-season £30 deal now is the time to do it by BACS (Springfield CC. Acc no. 70863742. Sort code 20-19-95.) Alternatively you can pop into the club and pay myself or Lambo (this Sat is as good a chance as any)

Full Seniors £30...£20 If still in education/retired etc                                                                                                                                                                                Anyone under the age of 18 on 1.1.18 needs to fill out a Colts registration form and pay £20 annual subs (see Ali Vince)

The tea & after game food rota is up in the club, please make the effort to do at least one of these this year. Also if everybody can do a stint behind the bar after the game once a year will are covered.

This year we have an availability board up in the club. The reason for this is that we hope to be able to put out a 5th XI on a Saturday. The sooner you can fill this out the earlier we will know if we have the numbers to arrange extra friendlies. PLEASE everybody fill this out at your earliest opportunity.

All the fixtures are up on the clubs website including a second Sunday side this year competing in the Warsop League.

Presidents day falls on July 22nd this year and we have a full build up with two T20s every evening from Weds onwards. The 4th edition of the SCC local beer & cider fest will start on the Weds evening and continue through to the last person to leave Monday morning!!

Our colts will be training throughout the summer (16th April-) on Monday/Tues/Weds evenings and any help from senior players would be much appreciated. The seniors will train on Thursday nights (6.15pm-). We still have a couple of weeks indoors training left if you want to stretch out the hammy's before we get outside.

Tour to Yorkshire is in 3 weeks, we have a squad of 21 (players and supporters) if anyone fancies joining us contact myself or Brooky (13th April-15th)

The September tour this year is now going to be in beautiful Brno (Czech Rep.) between the 28th-30th Sep. Flights are very cheap (as is the beer). we will be joining old friends N. Weald CC and Jack Frost CC as well as others in a T20 tourni. If anybody wants details give me a call and I will put you in contact with Russ Jones.

Finally a reminder the Natwest cricket force clean up day is on sat 7th April, 10am. Come and lend a hand.

Hopefully see you at the weekend for some Scrumpy.
