Match report After winning the toss for the 3rd week in a row. I decided batting first was the way forward. After a slow steady start the little and large opening partnership of Cook and Nice departed, quickly followed by kendo who faced the ball of the game. Enter Vince and Aslam who between them lost several balls and smashed many roof tiles of the house behind the bowler. Both fell to catches on the boundary for scores of 77 and 79 respectively. Nial decided he would not be out done and hit the biggest 6 of the day which also removed several tiles of a house roof. Springfield finishing the innings with a competitive score of 242-8.

A good start with the ball and a suicidal single taken to Nice left High Easter on 60-3. The turning point of the game come a few over’s later as Mahmood was dropped in the slips, he gained confidence from this and went to score a quick fire 85 and took the game away from us. A couple of late wickets from Ben Hitchen gave us a glimmer of hope but with the short boundaries high Easter eased to a 5 wicket win with 17 balls to spare.
