I am afraid that on Friday we heard the disappointing news that the T-Rippon league has been cancelled for the 2020 season. The Shepherd Neame League have not called time yet, and are slightly more optimistic asking us to ready the ground for 11 July - although there is no firm start date at the moment. There is no word yet on the junior game or the Sunday League.
However disappointing it does mean that if/when we get the go ahead we will be able to arrange our own fixtures to suit club requirements.
We are hoping to hear more by the end of the week once the Government lays out its further easing plans tomorrow and we will continue to update everyone as and when we find out new information and what this means for Springfield Cricket Club.
