2019 Presidents Day (and week)

08 Jul 2019

Evening everyone, we are only a couple of weeks away from Presidents Day on Sunday 21st July and we'd like to invite all of you to join us on the day for what always proves to be a cracking day of cricket, and over indulgence!!

As always we are looking for helpers on the day, there is a food board up in the club so please help us add to the wonderful spread that is put on for players and spectators at tea time and we also have a bar rota (1hr shifts) that needs filling...sure they'll be a few shandy's on offer for any willing volunteers!!!

We will be doing a raffle for Farleigh at tea also so any donations of prizes will be very gratefully appreciated.

All these food boards/rotas etc can be found in the club the more help the better.

Presidents week kicks off on Tuesday night (16th) with kids games against Maldon CC u11s & u15s

Weds 17th sees us host two T20s against Eastons & Little Waltham (both 6pm) & we will begin our mini beer & cider fest. that will run right up until Sunday.

Thurs evening the 18th we host Chelmsford and North Weald (T20s 6pm)

Friday evening see's us play Grays CC & Galleywood (T20s 6pm)

There will be food after every game in the evening so please come up and support the teams.

The league season continues as usual on Saturday and then we reach Presidents Day on the Sunday.

in the morning our U15s host SWF and we are holding an inter club u11 match to settle a few scores!! (Both 9.30am starts) The BBQ will be up and running for lunchtime as the pop starts flowing...

The afternoon's entertainment will be supplied by a 40 over club match in which the likely lads (SCC under 30s) take on the seasoned club legends (SCC over 30s) which can surely only end in thorough and utter trouncing of the young pretenders if the legends can stay of off the Malbec etc for long enough.

Paul's Sunday team welcome our friends from Coopersale CC for a friendly up on top pitch.

Please come along during the week and of course the Sunday with your families and friends and share a brilliant day of cricket and revelry and all help on the day will be much appreciated.

Cheers
