Although the tour dates have not "officially" been announced I have, through my contacts at the various tour agencies, been given a heads-up on the proposed dates. Because its not official its all a bit cloak and dagger but we are now looking at the Galle test starting early November so looking at flights end October.
I have stressed to the tour operators that I need to go back and check with you if you still have interest - as I know many of you would by now have made your 2018 family holiday decisions and cannot now commit to the tour, which is totally understandable - if some what frustrating at the authorities for their dallying.
For now we can assume that the trip will remain at 10 days and will include most if not all of the activities I previously published and the prices around the same levels (but this will need confirming again if numbers or itinerary change)
Can I ask that all parties still looking at the tour advise me by mail within the next 3 days (details below) so I can judge if we still have the numbers.
Given the delays which were completely out of our hands, one other option I was looking at was to consider delaying the tour until 2019 and looking at the England autumn tours that year. Again if people would be more comfortable in that time line please let me know
