Springfield Cricket Club Sunday II v Copdock & Old Ipswichian II on Sun 30 Jun 2013 at 13:00
Springfield Cricket Club Lost 9 wickets
Match report
If i have to vote myself as man of the match (for a top score or 20 not out and no byes while keeping I might add) then we know something has not gone exactly to plan!
As they say get it out of your system. This is the first game we have lost where we have all not played well (except....no i cant!) but even in this defeat no one dropped their heads and kept going, and there are some highlights!
Jamie Trim batted very well and stopped the tumble, bowled excellently and got a mention from the opposition captain about how good a player he looks, well done young fella!
Gazza showed the leg glance is still there
Alan didn't get injured
Blunders cooked weird food and got complements from everyone (I blimmin didn't when i did teas)
Doc brought the sweets
Ashurst batted better with a blue plastic bat outside the club house with a tennis ball being bowled by his orange juice soaked (on a rubbish football top)son.
Otherwise I would just like to point out that's its now 01.08 Tuesday morning (the things I do to get a game of cricket) and i don't mind doing this every week but not if we loose like this again.
Back on track on Sunday fellas! Clacton lost and we chased them close last time
Time for a turn around
See you Sunday
(I blmmin hope some one out there reads this!!)
Oops! just woke up in my chair, 2am, work in 4 hours! will fill in the rest later
