Match report a glorious day and a good win against a very friendly local wandering team Oaklands. This was only their 3rd game and they showed excellent spirit especially in the field and played the game in with a smile, thanks to them for making it a great day
We batted very well with Blunders nearly reaching 3 figures, closing on an excellent 90, backed by a great knock from Ollie (45) Martin (23), special mention to young Owen getting 9 runs with a lovely shot for 4 and in case anyone missed it a little cameo at the end from the skipper (including a glorious straight drive landing inches inside the boundary!!!). We reached 242 for 5 of our 40 overs giving us a great total to defend and scope to give all our bowlers a turn.
Will started us off and went straight through his 10 over for only 22 runs, great effort Will! Lucky managed to rid himself of some of his recent bad luck with a 3-24 return (at last!). Martin picked up 4 and Peter the Sherv backed up his ealry slip catch with 2 wickets of his own!
