Springfield Cricket Club Sunday II v Clacton on Sun 07 Jul 2013 at 13:00
Springfield Cricket Club Lost 2 wickets

Match report We lost but we showed the early season spirit again.
Hot hot day, but we went to the end, never enough runs especially after our early collapse, even with the great 6 wicket partnership, of which more (a lot more) later.
Well done everyone for getting that fighting sipirt back, as I said last week, I dont mind loosing (errrr... yes I do) as long as we show fight and desire and we did this week.
It must the The Corra as since we started our run of home games our run scorers (Andy, James, Shan, Gazza - yes Gazza) have failed to return many runs (yes James I know what you are saying now...) This has put pressure on our free hitting Shan who cant play his game if we have lost too many early cheap wickets, even when we have put "soild" players around him to try and give him protection at one end)
Full scores to follow
BUT, we will get back to the runs.
Top performances were, obvioulsy Iestyn for his best and most focused innings for the team and more importantly his first 50 for the club and so very nearly his first hundred. That innings, coupled with the Man of The Match Captains performance (dont fret Iestyn I am joking!) partnership of 117 for the sixth wicket (which if my research is right is a club wide record, and beats all know first class and international records) - This may not be completely true - Ed.
Special mentions to Kendo who even with his Tender Mices of his elbow put in a fantastic shift behind the stumps with 3 excellent catches and and sharp stupping (did give byes away though unlike last weeks keeper who had no byes or leg byes and...)
Me 29 not out off 87 balls, stayed there with Iest for over 2 hours and stopped the rot. Cant move a muscle today and have lost the use of my legs
Top Teas Tony for his return to form with a great spell of 10-0-44-4 to get us back in the game
Shan for another great spell with the ball to back up Tony - 10-3-21-3
WARLEY INJURY WATCH: HAMSTRING = Catching (juggling) ball, hair still shades or purple - fading to pink. Leg bruising now fading. Updates to folow
Well done boys, see you next week
