Match report With 4 games left we needed a lift after a couple of bad results had seen our 40 point lead reduced to nowt, and on finally seeing a wicket at the Corra that didn't resemble the last day at Glastonbury we won the toss and batted. Curt batting with the freedom that we saw at the start of the season batted superbly and anchored our innings with 106, I chipped in with a breezy 49 and finally we had something to bowl at, in truth we lost our way a bit in the middle overs where we need to maneuver the ball around a bit better but with a slow outfield 219 was pretty good.
Bentley started well but we were always taking the odd wicket to keep them in check and with Si bowling tightly the rate began to climb steeply, we should in truth had won at a canter but chance after chance went to ground. Ben returning after missing 6 weeks came back into the attack and kept an end tight and we eventually ran out winners by 19 runs...Phew!
With Peveral losing we are back to a 25 point lead but with one of the toughest trips of the season to the unpredictable Chignal next week. Keep going fellas
