Match report Our batting troubles continued on a green Peveral wicket and only late order runs from Charlie and Josh allowed us to post a still well under par 143 all out. Too many wickets given away to loose shots rather than exceptional bowling was again our downfall.
Once again the spirit and commitment in the field was obvious to anyone watching and the comeback was started by a fiery opening spell from Charlie, picking up the openers cheaply. Dancey now came into the attack early and bowled as well as i've ever seen him, completely strangling our opponents and chipping in with the odd wicket. At 50-5 we were back in the game but the lack of a 5th bowler began to tell (giving them 7 overs wasn't in the plan!!!) as the 6th wicket partnership got them up to over a hundred. Once again we fought back, CP and Josh giving everything for the cause and wickets began to fall as the pressure was ramped up. With still 18 required we took the 9th wicket but unfortunately it wasn't to be and as Charlie run out of overs and we ran out of steam, credit the Peveral no.11 he didn't give a chance but to come so close was heartbreaking. I suppose it wasn't meant to be but i couldn't be more proud of the attitude and fight showed by everybody.
