Hi all
On behalf of the clubs committee and all those involved in both the Presidents Week activities and the recent Farleigh Charity Day I would like to thank each and every one of you for you fantastic support and enthusiasm for both events
Presidents Week went very well supported by excellent weather, copious burgers and the odd beer. from the state of most when I left around 10.30 last night it looked like it could go on until next years event, although I suspect a few this morning may not be too keen on that idea!
As we mentioned yesterday we initially thought that we would raise around £1000 from the Farleigh Day, I announced yesterday that we then thought that would be £1500, the actually expected total is now closer to £2000, this is a totally brilliant effort from everyone in the club and from everyone involved in the organisation we send a massive thank you to you all.
Some shout outs must be done so Deb Pothen and her wonderful family, all the Ashurst Clan, Clarky, Jimmy, the Vinces and all those who helped behind the bar, in the kitchen and indeed all the players that helped make this such a huge day a massive thanks to you all.
I will send out the "Press Release" we are putting together when done but do ask if anyone has pictures of all the players in front of the clubhouse with the Farleigh cheque yesterday to send me the best copies so I can include that. Thanks again to you all, you are what makes Springfield Cricket Club such a great place to play cricket and socialise with true friends. Well done you all (and well done on the new suit EP!)
