Kids can watch a summer of cricket for just £12…

Essex Cricket are pleased to announce that their Junior Eagles Membership for the 2009 season will be priced once again at just £12. Anyone aged 17 or under can enjoy a summer of cricket here at The Ford County Ground in Chelmsford . Junior Eagle Members not only gain free entry to the defence of The Friends Provident Trophy but also to the eagerly anticipated tour match in April versus The West Indies. Plus they will enjoy free entry to all LV County Championship and NatWest Pro40 home games.

Finally all Essex members have priority and discounted tickets for the exciting Twenty20 Cupplease note members have until 11th May to claim their discounted tickets for the Twenty20 Cup.

David East, Essex Cricket Chief Executive, added “Bringing more and more children into the game is one of our main priorities. Following the success that we had in 2008, our Junior Membership is becoming increasingly popular especially having made the decision to keep our membership at just £12 for under 18s. We currently have in excess of 1,400 Junior Members, all of whom will enjoy the £12 rate in 2009. We believe we have one of the lowest priced junior membership across the 18 first class counties and hope that this exceptionally low rate will encourage more children to follow the game of cricket.”

Paul Grayson, Essex First XI Coach, says “It is great that we have been able to allow children of all ages to come and watch cricket here at Essex for such a small cost. The entire squad thrive in the atmosphere that the children create here and that can only inspire us to win.”

Essex Cricket membership for all ages can be purchased by calling (01245) 254010, or by visiting www.essexcricket.org.uk or by visiting the Membership and Ticketing Office which is now located within the Sport@Essex shop here at The Ford County Ground.
